A Watchdog Timer (WDT) is a hardware circuit that can reset the
computer system in case of a software fault. You probably knew
that already.
ALi (Acer Labs) M6117 watchdog timer uses a 32.768KHz clock to a
24 bits counter. The timer range is from 30.5u sec to 512 sec
with resolution 30.5u sec. When the timer times out, a system
reset, NMI or IRQ may happen. This can be decided by user's
programming.
The watchdog timer is located on the chipset M6117. This chip is
used on some SBC and PC/104 (i386) motherboards. The driver
