He received his PhD degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is developing several projects at Dr. Lynn Rothschild&#8217;s lab at NASA Ames Research Center for the past 9 years. His primary research is focused on radiation-resistant microorganisms and how this capability could be transferred to humans in the near future.
