Resumen: During 2020 year the Asociación Argentina de AstronomÃa formed NAEC Argentina, whose work plan consisted of three stages, the first of which was "Diagnosis on the Teaching of Astronomy in our country''. It in turn is divided into three actions: analyze the Jurisdictional Curricular Designs of Secondary Education to identify the presence of contents and specific subjects of Astronomy; find out about the participation of professional and amateur astronomers in instances of formal education; and analyze the designs of the Physics Teacher careers. In this contribution we present the results of the first two actions. From the analysis carried out in the Curricular Designs of the 24 Jurisdictions, it turned out that in 10 of them there is a specific curricular space on Astronomy in Natural Sciences Orientation. Regarding the participation of professional and amateur in formal education, the information was collected through an electronic form and the analysis of the answers obtained was organized into categories related to education, social and culture. The conclusions of the study of both parts of the diagnosis offer a first approach to the current situation in our country: the low presence of Astronomy in Formal Education, providing an important projection towards the third part, still in process, and to future proposals for concrete actions
